Claude is smart. but it knows nothing about YouTube.
ask it to find competitors for your channel and it gives u a bunch of random channels and 9/10 it suggest MrBeast.
ask it for a growth strategy and it regurgitates 2019 advice about "posting consistently" and "engaging with your audience." thanks bro, groundbreaking.
this isnt a Claude problem. its a data problem.
these models are trained on 10 years of internet data, most of it outdated.
Claude has never watched a single YouTube video in its life.
it has no idea whats trending, what formats are working, or which channels are actually growing right now.
the community has been saying this for months.
heres a youtuber putting it bluntly:
AI still needs a LOT of context and data to get anywhere close to a useful YouTube strategy.
and he's right.
so we fixed it.
Algrow now plugs directly into Claude
as of today, Algrow is available as an MCP integration on Claude.ai, web and mobile.
no extra installs and easy setup.
this means that every conversation you have with Claude now has access to real, live YouTube data.
not from training data but live data about virtually anything you need for Youtube.
Same prompt. Same model. Completely different results.
i ran the exact same prompt twice - "find me similar longform channels" with my channel ID.
* not my channel - used as an example for this test.
- h3h3Productions
- iDubbbz
- Pyrocynical
- Turkey Tom
h3h3Productions
iDubbbzTV
Pyrocynical
just a bunch of loosely related commentary channels pulled from memory. none of them actually similar to what i do.
- Mr. POV Explainer
83% match, 25K subs, same POV/rank explainer format - The Life Explainer
80% match, same style content - POV Tales
78% match, 3.7K subs but averaging 104K views
every single one is relevant. same niche, same format, similar size. ranked by actual similarity percentage with real metrics attached.
same ai. the data made the difference.
It's not just channel search
finding similar channels is just the starting point. once Algrow is plugged in, Claude gets access to 19 different tools, all inside one conversation. no switching tabs.
lets say u found Mr. POV Explainer from that search. heres what u can do next without leaving the chat:
pull every video Mr. POV Explainer has ever posted. views, upload dates, titles, descriptions. instantly see which formats are getting 800K views vs which ones flop at 5K. You can even do the same with all your competitors
grab the full script from "Your Life as Every Rank on the FBI Most Wanted List" (823K views). see exactly how they structure intros, transitions, hooks. reverse engineer what works
search for other POV/rank explainer videos blowing up right now. not from last month. right now. see if the format is trending up or dying. The database is constantly finding fresh channels, thumbnails and formats so it's never outdated
upload one of their thumbnails and find every channel using a similar style. spot if there's a specific style of packaging being used or even similar thumbnails in adjacent niches for inspiration
find out if your niche is safe by checking if there are similar channels that have been taken down. know which formats/packaging to avoid so you dont waste weeks making content that inevitably will be removed
pick any Elevenlabs public voice or clone ur own with our private model and generate any voiceover of your choice straight from Claude. No switching back and forth between sites
either create AI thumbnails exactly from scratch or just make quick minor adjustments
thats 7 different tools used on one channel, in one conversation. on any other platform thats 7 different pages and u lose context every time u switch.
"but is the data actually fresh?"
fair question. the whole point of this integration is live data, so if the database is outdated then none of it matters.
we have servers scraping 24/7 for every endpoint. viral videos, terminated channels, longform, shorts. all of it.
* this is a slowed down simulation. our actual scrapers move faster than a css animation can render.
every channel in our database gets its videos fetched at minimum once a day. every single day. view counts, upload dates, new videos, subscriber changes. nothing sits there going stale.
when a new format blows up on YouTube, we catch it the same day. when a channel gets terminated, its in our terminated database within hours. when a new channel starts growing, its already in search results.
this is our number one priority. no stale data, no outdated metrics, no "this was accurate 3 months ago." if its in Algrow, its current.
How to set it up
takes about 30 seconds:
go to claude.ai → Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector
Server URL: https://mcp.algrow.online/mcp
Client ID: algrow_mcp_claude
Client Secret: zoJFY044Ih2GKhkf3ae25DwFqupsjoPS54Ic0A3ZAaZEsR7I4EAftEncqCIHLN-7
after adding the connector, Claude will redirect you to sign in with your Algrow account. click Approve to connect.
* anyone can connect the integration for free, but you'll need an active Algrow subscription to get results back from the tools.
also works with Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Codex, and any other MCP-compatible client. view setup instructions for all clients.
the integration is live now. connect it and see the difference for yourself.
